The two parallel roller shells are rotated in opposite direction and material is nipped for crushing.

Standard Specifications:

• Frame (Body): Box type frame is made out of M.S. Plates, reinforced by steel ribs and base feet are of M.S. Squares riveted to main frame. The top and side plates are bolted to main frame.
• Rollers: In the two rollers, one is stationary and second one is adjustable/floating. The roller shells are to be kept parallel . Each roller runs in two nos. Bush Bearings. for Safety of rollers, adjustable roll. is spring loaded if any uncrushable material comes/passes through machine without doing any damage.
• Roller Shell: Roller shell mounted on shaft by means of couplings.
• Coupling, Shaft & Bearings: Coupling is fabricated out of plates and pipe, machined all over and shaft. The shaft runs in split type C.I./G.M. bush bearings housed in bracket. The brackets are made out of M.S. Plates, an Oil Ring is provided for Lubrication of bearings.
• Spur Gears: Spur Gear is mounted on shaft of each roller. This gear is driven by pinion
• Drive: Comprises of a motor Two counter shafts with heavy fly wheels drive the roller shell independently through spur Gear.

• In certain cases when feed size is small Roll Crusher can also be used as primary cum secondary for production of sizes 1/2" and down.
• Rolls are produced from variety of material including chilled cast iron, high carbon steel and manganess steel.
• To get good performance of roll crusher the feed size should be such that no spillage occurs. A ratio of 4:1 gives most economical operation from roll shell wear.

OPERATION : The machine is essentially designed to fill in valve type bag. Material is forced by the impeller and filled in the bag through the spout which is connected to machine with a flexible hose pipe. The material is densified by impeller rotating at high speed resulting in fast filling i.e. higher output as compared to pneumatic filling. The material flowing through hose pipe is further assisted by an air jet during the filling operation. The pinching device pinches or opens the hose pipe to stop or allow the flow of material. Accurate weighing is done by precision loadcell and electronic controller in electronic machines or by weighing beam supported on hardened and ground knife edge for accuracy and durability. Filling is automatically cut off by actuation of pinching device, once set point is achieved. Automation of Packaging machine is provided with the help of electrical and pneumatic control devices provided in the panel box and the pneumatic cylinders.
